From Plymfest to Watergate Bay - 25th to 30th May

After Plymouth Volksfest we decided to spend the rest of our holiday somewhere in Cornwall. As we drove up the North Cornwall coast we were drawn back to the Holiday Park in Watergate Bay. As we drove up to the spot we used last August, in the same spot were our neighbours from the previous year. It was nice to see the Congleton couple and their dog again. We agreed to go fishing together before the weeks end.

Now whilst we were at the festival, we were told by a few people to check out the Cornish Camels, if we were heading out that way. Cornish camels you may ask? If you head out to Goonhilly (Largest satellite earth station in the world) apparently there were camels.

Well we followed the patchy signs promising camels and winding through narrow roads in Burt, taking several wrong turns before eventually finding a small farmstead with the camels.

As the shop and centre wasn't open for the season, all we were able to do was park up and watch the camels roaming around the field like cattle.

Our last few days were spent relaxing, driving around and surfing. It rained on our last day, but other than that we couldn't ask for nicer weather.
