Ben's 30th Birthday Drinks in London Town

I arrived late and missed out on the cocktails, but got to Soho in time for food. Unlike poor Adam, who arrived just as we'd cleared our plates of Tiramisu.

Was it mean to send him a picture of the chocolate dusting left by our dessert?

After a drink in a Sam Smiths we went in search of Jack Daniels. Thinking the Pillars of Hercules wouldn't let us down, in we stumbled. But shock horror, there was no Jack. Rather than waste valuable drinking time we settled on a substitute glass of Bullet Bourbon and coke. I can report that it isn't too bad. It hasn't quite got the kick that Jack has, but it isn't far off.

Say cheese.

Scientific experiment

What you will need:

A lace sweet - it must be hollow all the way through

A glass of Bullet Bourbon - another drink can be substituted if none available (I suggest Jack Daniels if it can be found.)

Instructions:

Use the Lace sweet as a straw.

Conclusion:

The drink vanished from the glass via the sweet.

Experiment successful.
