I can't let August pass without mentioning the Edinburgh Festival and the if.com awards.
I was pleased to hear Rhod Gilbert nominated for the main award.
As well as Kristen Schaal, the mad fan from Flight of the Conchords.

I wasn't too gutted that David O'Doherty won the main prize. His gentle Irish whimsy was unlikely to offend any one on the panel. Irish comedians do fair well at Edinburgh comedy awards.
And I think Sarah Millican is a worthy winner of the newcomer judging by this:
