So we lost at the Football, again.
So with a bottle of diet coke and a packet of trebor mints we attempted to create a soda fountain to lift our spirits.
Perhaps we should have gone for something a little more chalky by way of sweets.
A bit like England, a lot of rallying round, but in the end a bit of a disappointment.
It's not quite this...

Day trip to Brighton - 24th June
With no Glastonbury on this year, Luce and Rich came up with the great idea of a trip to Brighton. So with them booked into a hotel just off sea front for the weekend, Ali and Craig, me and Tim headed down there for a day of shopping, fish 'n' chips and a few beers.
Brighton Pavillion
Sitting eating Fish, chips and mushy peas on Brightons shingle beach, with a can of beer on a bright sunny day. Going someway to compensate us for not sitting in a muddy field listening to some new fangled indie band.
The view from the pier.
There was a Shock Announcement whilst we were out on the pier...
Though some of us felt they weren't taking their vows seriously...
...until a further shock announcement that Ali and Craig's wedding was null and void, as Craig and Rich had already tied the not in a secret ceremony not moments before...
It's hard to resist a relax on a deckchair
I haven't been on a rollercoaster in years. I must be getting old, even the tame rides are bloody expensive. We go on just the one.
Great View.
You don't wanna be eating that...
No really you don't wanna be eating that*...
Best place for it I reckon...

O2 Wireless Festival - A Day Out
Ahhh, bless.
Special Case Number Two
Ahhhh, bless
Superman on a well earned fag break.
Clark Kent and Lois Lane. You'd never have known would you?
The only way I could get a photo out of Caz with her eyes "open" was by sticking my sunglasses on her.
Smooth.
There have been rumours going around about Craig and Rich... I've no idea where these unfounded rumours came from...
Going in for the snog...
It must be love...
Don't worry it's not Craig under the hat.
Spot the Difference
I finally got my sunglasses back.
After a "gentle" afternoon of the mad Gogol Bordello and naff Dirty Pretty Things, it was time for one of the festival highlights, dancing to Belle and Sebastian. A short set, lacking the backing from extra band members we're used to at their own gigs, it did the job all the same. We had a good old dancing session in the sunshine. What more do you need?
Then it was time for the Raconteurs and the Strokes, complete with Charlston Dancing.
Whilst I did my first festival sober, Pear Cider was the order the day for everyone else. Sadly that stuff hits the old pockets quite badly, so for cheapness after the festival drew to a close, we grabbed a few bottles and headed back to a secret destination 10 minutes away to drink, have fun and try on some half made clothes...
Not a bad old day. Not quite Glastonbury, but it'll do for starters.
And just time to give a mention to someones haircut. Whatever Adam says, this is a mohican.
